Food And Beverages

For a small city, Yellowknife has an amazingly wide selection of eateries, bars and pubs. There's fine dining, fast food chains, cozy diners, food trucks in summer, and at least a half dozen ethnic restaurants, offering opportunities to sample international cuisine from Ethiopia, Korea, Vietnam, Germany and more.

Looking for local fare? Many restaurants feature fresh-caught fish from Great Slave Lake. Some offer bison burgers, or bison stew. Treat yourself to a lavish Sunday brunch. Choose quirky dining in an historic building in old town; there are many outdoor patios throughout the city for you to enjoy summer.

Most bars or pubs in Yellowknife also offer food service. Try a local beer and a famous fish burger, or relax with a martini in one of our hotel bars.

Many of our restaurant owners double as caterers, and there are also some companies that offer only catering services.
