The Yellowknife International Film Festival (YKIFF) is a celebration of excellence in cinema from Northern, Canadian, Pan-Arctic and Indigenous filmmakers, hosted by Western Arctic Moving Pictures (WAMP). It is also a platform for all levels of industry professionals to converge, share insights, and foster collaboration.
Through various programming efforts, WAMP strives to champion the traditionally underrepresented voices in the filmmaking community by ensuring to reach a gender parity, and that Indigenous, BIPOC, Queer, and Filmmakers with disabilities are represented. WAMP recognizes the significance of inclusivity and strives to create an inviting environment for all individuals from all walks of life to participate in the arts.
