Summer / Fall

Yellowknife is such a special place, every season here is so different!

No matter the season you visit, Yellowknife is a magical place! In the summer you can stay up until the peak morning hours under the midnight sun, or come visit in the fall and catch the world’s best aurora!

Our community is home to numerous lakes, all prime for your water adventures like canoeing, portaging, stand-up paddleboarding, and kayaking! You can also go camping under the midnight sun and spend the night cuddled up by the campfire with good company, great snacks - a perfect equation for good memories.

Looking to do something during the day? Try renting a bike and helmet to check out Yellowknife or the Ingraham Trail, or go for a hike. You can also always stop by Somba K’e Plaza to see what events are happening and join in the festivities.
